1 Day Introduction to Media Make Up Certificate

Cost - £140

This course is suitable for beginners who would like to access our Fashion/Editorial Courses. You will be taught how to apply the perfect base make up for camera and covers hygiene/safety, choosing & applying the correct foundation/concealer/powder. Face shapes, shading and highlighting.

This course is held on regular saturdays and sundays throughout the year.

2 Day Fashion/Editorial Make Up Certificate

Cost - £455

Covering classic fashion/editorial looks on day 1, progressing to dramatic and creative looks on day 2. This course is suitable for those that have previous make up experience/training or have completed our 1 Day Introduction to Media Make Up Certificate.

This course can also be accessed on weekends.

5 Day Session Stylist Hair Certificate

Cost - £780

For beginners or make up artists needing a refresher on the latest styles. You will be taught everything from simple styles to the most up to date and creative/avant garde styles seen in magazines and on the catwalk by our team of highly experienced tutors.

4 Week Media Make Up Course

Cost: £3,400

This course covers all the make up skills you need to become a professional make up artist including bridal, HD airbrushing, period make up and fashion/editorial. Portfolio days are organised at the end of your course and a cd of your work will be given to you. You will be encouraged to design your own looks and work to a brief. Our courses are all practical so be prepared to pick up your brushes on the first day and dive in!

This course includes make up kit and brush set.

3 Week Media Hair Course

Cost: £2,500

Make up artists will find it very difficult to get work without hair training as virtually all jobs will require them to provide this service. The course covers basic hair cutting/trimming, media styling, barbering, bridal, fashion/editorial and fashion period.

Bridal Make Up- 2 Days

Cost: £495

This 2 day course is designed for students wishing to pursue a career in freelance bridal make up. You will learn how to apply a perfect natural make up, camouflage techniques and how to create the latest bridal looks and trends. Information and advice on advertising, marketing and fees is included to help get your business up and running.

HD Airbrushing - 2 Days

Cost: £495

Now an essential skill of the make up artist. An increasing number of make up designers will now only hire make up artists that have training in this area, making it one of the most important skills to have on your CV.

Bridal Hair & Make Up Combined – 1 Week

Cost: £850

Bridal make up as above. Hair styling includes blow drying, braiding, curling & waving, classic and creative hair-up styles.

This course comes with a set of brushes

Fashion/Editorial Make Up – 1 Week

Cost: £850

A truly inspirational course for make up artists wanting a refresher. Learn all the latest techniques and how to create looks from classic editorial to pure fantasy. You will be encouraged to push the boundaries and let your imagination take you to another level. Previous training and/or experience necessary.

Casualty FX – 4 Days

Cost: £795

Learn how to create bruises, bullet wounds, slit wrists, scars, ageing and other special effects for TV and film.

Courses may be studied on a part time evening basis for those who wish to study for a new career whilst still working. These courses are arranged according to demand. Contact the academy to register your interest.
